Helping Others

There are a number of ways in which you can serve others through Founders MCCLA. We have weekly, monthly and annual service opportunities as well as special offerings throughout the year. Here are just a few, and please look further through this section for more information.

Helping Hands Offering

The fourth Sunday of every month is our Helping Hands Offering Sunday, alternating between HopeNet, Brown Bag and our Paul Gronberg Benevolence Fund.

Brown Bag Lunches

Make sure you mark your calendars for the second Sunday of every month to come together to help make sandwiches after services. The 300+ lunches that we put together are then taken to those who are in dire need in downtown Los Angeles. Drivers are always needed. It is a guarantee…you WILL be blessed by this ministry!

HopeNet Needs Volunteers – Fridays & Saturdays

HopeNet needs volunteers to organize and distribute food! For more information, contact Art Fisher & Bill Sheperd or Reverend Dr. Pat Langlois at hopenet AT mccla DOT org. Volunteers are needed: Fridays, 1 – 3 pm (unloading food, organizing for distribution) and Saturdays, 8 – 11 am (distribution is at 8:45 AM). We are also seeking hand can-openers to be donated so that we can offer them to those who are in need of them who come to the pantry. HopeNet is an interfaith effort to eliminate hunger and homelessness in Los Angeles by providing food, shelter and self-help assistance to families and individuals.
